About This Access Site
Joinerville Park is a major access point on the Maquoketa River in Jackson County, featuring a concrete boat ramp and picnic area. Located on 123rd Ave with access from Highway 64 near Maquoketa, this day-use facility serves as a popular recovery and takeout point for kayakers and canoeists paddling the river. The park is open year-round and was established as a gift to the community from the Wilbur Siders and Melvin Joiner families.

Paddlers should note that if continuing downriver beyond Joinerville Park toward Lakehurst Dam, extreme caution is advised. For additional information or questions about amenities and conditions, contact Jackson County Conservation at (563) 652-3783 or visit their office at 18670 63rd Street in Maquoketa.
