About This Access Site
Juniper Park provides one of only two public boat launch points on Ririe Reservoir in southeastern Idaho, making it a key access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters in the Ririe area. The facility features a boat-launching ramp and floating fishing dock, with both day-use and overnight camping available. Campground guests enjoy free ramp use, and the park offers scenic views of the reservoir. The location is convenient to Kelly Island Campground (within 10 miles) for those planning extended stays.

Beyond Juniper Park, the reservoir system includes additional boat-access-only parks—Benchland Park and Willow Point Park—located further out on the water. Nearby, Blacktail Park offers a complementary day-use area with swimming facilities. Paddlers exploring the region will also find the scenic Cress Creek Nature Trail along the South Fork of the Snake River and proximity to Caribou-Targhee National Forest for broader outdoor recreation. The area emphasizes Leave No Trace principles, so plan accordingly and pack out what you pack in.
