About This Access Site
Kangaroo Lake Drive North provides public boat access to Kangaroo Lake, a 1,156-acre freshwater lake in Door County's Baileys Harbor area. This is a carry-in access point suitable for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the lake's moderately clear waters. The lake has a maximum depth of 12 feet and supports a variety of fish species including panfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye.

From Baileys Harbor, head northwest on County Highway F for about 1.5-2 miles, then turn onto South Highland Road and continue approximately 1.5 miles to the access area. Look for the small parking area and signage on the left side of the road. Paddlers should note that motorized boats are not permitted on this portion of the lake, making it an ideal destination for a quieter paddling experience. The nearby Judy Abert Meissner Memorial Wetland Preserve offers additional exploration opportunities from the County Road EE causeway.
