Kekoskee Millpond offers a public boat landing on the East Branch Rock River in Mayville, Dodge County. This 37-acre millpond has a maximum depth of 4 feet and provides a convenient access point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the Rock River paddling corridor. The landing provides straightforward boat access to the pond itself, though water clarity is low. The site is well-positioned within one of Wisconsin's premier paddling routes, with excellent stretches both upstream and downstream.
Paddlers using this access will find it useful as a put-in or take-out for multi-mile trips on the East Branch Rock River. Notable nearby paddling includes the scenic 1.9-mile stretch between Highway Y and this ramp, which features good current and small boulder gardens—considered among the best paddling on the entire Rock River system. The millpond also offers fishing opportunities for panfish and northern pike. Additionally, the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge, one of the largest freshwater marshes in the United States, is located nearby and provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities for paddlers exploring the broader area.
