About This Access Site
Keyhole Reservoir offers excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters with five dedicated boat ramps throughout Keyhole State Park near Pine Haven. The reservoir encompasses over 14,700 acres of navigable water on the Belle Fourche River, providing ample space for paddling and recreational boating. The ramps are operational whenever the lake is ice-free, and during winter months with safe ice conditions, the ramps provide access for ice fishing.

Before launching, all boats must be properly registered and inspected for aquatic invasive species. Ensure your vessel is equipped with required safety equipment, including life jackets and fire extinguishers. A marina, campgrounds, and nearby services in Pine Haven make this a convenient full-service destination for extended outings.

The reservoir supports diverse fishing opportunities with species including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, crappie, and catfish, making it popular for anglers. Check current boat ramp water levels before your visit, and note that Wyoming state fishing licenses are available online or at local vendors near the park. Whether you're paddling, motorboating, or fishing, Keyhole Reservoir provides a well-developed recreation area in northeast Wyoming.
