About This Access Site
Keyhole State Park offers access to Keyhole Reservoir, a 14,720-acre impoundment on the Belle Fourche River located about 6 miles off I-90 in northeast Wyoming near Pine Haven. The park features five boat ramps, four of which have docks, providing excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. There is no fee to use the boat ramps or docks. The reservoir is a popular destination for fishing (walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, crappie, and perch) and recreational boating.

Before launching, ensure your boat is registered and has passed aquatic invasive species inspection. All boats must be equipped with proper safety gear including life jackets and fire extinguishers. **Boat ramps operate seasonally based on water and ice conditions**, so check current conditions before visiting, especially during spring and fall. Given Wyoming's variable weather and the reservoir's northern location, water levels can fluctuate significantly throughout the season.
