About This Access Site
Kil-So-Quah offers a concrete boat ramp located off S.R. 224 in Huntington, providing access to J. Edward Roush Lake (Huntington Lake), the second-smallest recreational pool among the 20 lakes in the Louisville District. The ramp accommodates motorized boats, non-motorized kayaks and canoes, and electric-motor vessels with no launch permits required. Note that motorized boats are restricted to J.E. Roush Lake itself, while paddlers in non-motorized and electric-motor boats can explore both the main lake and its impoundments.

**Important considerations:** Swimming is not permitted at the ramp area. Water level fluctuations can affect ramp usability—when water levels are too high and the north ramp closes, the alternative Little Turtle Recreation Area ramp becomes available. The nearby Kilsoquah Camp offers campground facilities for overnight stays. This site provides a solid launching point for paddlers and boaters seeking lake-based recreation in north-central Indiana.
