About This Access Site
Kinkaid Lake offers excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats with four public boat ramps and a full-service marina located near Ava in Jackson County. The lake is popular for fishing and provides ample parking at the main facilities, with Joy Marina and Paul Ice Boat Ramp among the primary access points. The ramp at Paul Ice Road is easily located by taking a left onto Paul Ice Road and traveling approximately 1 mile from CR-2.

Boaters should note that while there are no motor restrictions on the lake, speed limits are enforced: 50 MPH during daytime hours and 25 MPH from sunset to sunrise.
