Located in Warren County along the Allegheny River below Kinzua Dam, this developed access site features a two-lane concrete launch ramp with plenty of paved parking. The ramp provides convenient access to the tailwaters section of the Allegheny River, making it an ideal put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. Seasonal restrooms and picnic facilities are available on-site.
The tailwaters below the dam offer stable, controlled water conditions ideal for paddlers of various skill levels. Access is available on both the north and south banks of the river between the dam and Warren—use Route 59 on the south side for access to this ramp. The area is surrounded by the scenic Allegheny National Forest and Appalachian landscape, providing beautiful paddling through forested terrain.
Several campgrounds are located within 10 miles of the access site, including Pine Grove, Hopewell, and Morrison Boat Access Campgrounds (all reservable), making it convenient for planning multi-day paddling trips. The nearby Allegheny Reservoir area supports one of the region's largest outdoor recreation complexes, offering additional exploration opportunities beyond the river paddling.
