About This Access Site
Kusel Lake County Park offers public water access via a dedicated boat landing on the eastern shore of 74-acre Kusel Lake in Saxeville, Waushara County. The shallow, sandy-bottomed lake reaches a maximum depth of 29 feet and features moderately clear water, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The park is a full-service facility with 90 acres of grounds, including two shelter houses with restrooms, playground equipment, and designated safe swim areas posted at the launch.

Paddlers and boaters should note that Kusel Lake enforces Slow-No-Wake regulations daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Any motorized watercraft exceeding No-Wake speeds must travel in a counter-clockwise direction. The lake supports fishing for panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Beyond water recreation, the park offers hiking, swimming, volleyball, tennis, and basketball facilities, making it an excellent all-purpose destination for families and paddlers seeking a full day of activities.
