This day-use access point on the north side of Lake Amistad offers a concrete boat ramp located east of the campground, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats. When water levels drop below the nearby bridge, an alternative gravel bank launch is available. The site provides excellent facilities including ample parking (auto, trailer, and RV), accessible restrooms, drinking water, and shaded picnic areas with grills and ramadas—making it ideal for a full day of paddling.
Lake Amistad's water conditions can fluctuate seasonally, and boat ramp accessibility varies accordingly. Before your visit, contact the Visitor Center or check the park website to confirm this ramp is open, as several other ramps (Blackbrush Point, 277 North, 277 South, Spur 406, Spur 454, and Pecos) operate depending on lake levels. The area offers scenic views and good wildlife-watching opportunities, with an information kiosk and fish-cleaning station on-site. To reach the ramp from Del Rio, take US 90 southeast on Spur 406 to the end of the road.
