About This Access Site
Located in Ocklawaha off NE 183rd Avenue Road (Levy Hammock Road), south of SR 40, this is the primary public access point to Lake Bryant in the Ocala National Forest. The ramp provides free public access to one of the larger lakes in the national forest, making it a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The area is particularly busy on weekends, so plan accordingly if you prefer quieter conditions.

Lake Bryant is a large, shallow lake surrounded by the Big Scrub ecosystem, offering scenic paddling opportunities and good fishing. The Lake Eaton Campground nearby (14 reservable sites) provides overnight accommodation options if you want to explore the area for multiple days. Note the 14-day stay limit within any 30-day period applies to all Ocala National Forest campgrounds. Additional camping is available at Big Scrub Campground and Mill Dam Group Camp within 10 miles of the access point.
