Located near the town of Bryson in Jack County, approximately 58 miles northwest of Fort Worth, Lake Bryson offers a small boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats. The 97-acre impoundment features clear water conditions and a maximum depth of 49 feet, making it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels. Be aware that the lake is prone to dense submerged vegetation due to its clear water, so watch for aquatic plants while paddling.
**Access & Directions:** From Bryson, head north on North Center Street off US 380, then turn left on York Street. Follow York Street for 0.9 miles to a Y-junction, take the right branch, and continue 1.2 miles to the ramp. Bank fishing areas are also available at the site.
**What to Expect:** The lake is characterized by much standing timber, large rocks, and overhanging brush, which creates scenic paddling but requires careful navigation. All fish species are managed under statewide Texas regulations. Check current lake levels before visiting, as minimum water elevation affects ramp usability. This is an ideal destination for paddlers seeking a smaller, quieter lake experience with good water clarity.
