Located on Pixley Road in Monterey on the northwestern shore of Lake Buel, this public boat ramp offers reliable access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The ramp features a well-maintained concrete launch with a 10-12% slope, suitable for launching all but the largest trailer boats. The facility includes a fully paved parking lot with level access and two designated accessible parking spots located closest to the ramp, making it convenient for paddlers with mobility considerations or those launching cartop boats.
This access point is owned by the Public Access Board and managed by the Massachusetts Division of Forests and Parks. The paved lot and concrete ramp are in good condition, and the site accommodates both power and non-power watercraft. When planning your visit, note that Lake Buel is a multi-use recreation area, so expect to share the water with motorboats during peak seasons.
