Located in Pineville, Rapides Parish, Lake Buhlow offers convenient water access for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters in central Louisiana. The boat ramp provides a straightforward launch point onto this popular recreational lake known for fishing, boating, and day-use activities. A picnic area is available near the Fort Buhlow portion of the lake, making it suitable for a full day outing.

To reach the ramp, take US Highway 71 to Montgomery, turn west at the caution light, proceed over the railroad tracks through downtown to Old Jefferson Highway, then turn right to the access road. The site is best suited for day-use visits; note that camping is not available here, and users should be aware that dock facilities are limited. The calm lake waters make it accessible for paddlers of various skill levels.
