This boat ramp provides access to Lake Byllesby, a 1,368-acre reservoir on the Cannon River in southeastern Minnesota, located approximately 30 miles southeast of the Twin Cities. The southeast access point is situated in Goodhue County near Cannon Falls and serves as a convenient launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore this scenic water body. The lake reaches depths of up to 50 feet and offers ample space for various water activities.
The Lake Byllesby area features multiple recreational amenities across both the Goodhue County (south) and Dakota County (north) sides. If you need additional services, the Dakota County side across the lake includes a regional park with camping, picnic areas, a swimming beach, hiking trails, and portable facilities. The two sides are connected by the Mill Towns State Trail bridge. Before launching, check current conditions and any seasonal regulations for the Cannon River area.
