The Lake Camanche (North) boat ramp provides access to the scenic Lake Camanche in California's Sierra Nevada foothills. This ramp is a popular launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to explore the lake's calm waters.
However, please note that the Camanche Reservoir Boat Launch is currently closed by East Bay Municipal Utility District. This closure bans all personal watercraft, including kayaks, until further notice. Visitors should check the latest updates before planning a trip.
When the ramp is open, it offers 160 parking spaces for vehicles with trailers. There are also two boarding floats and three carry-down walkways to facilitate launching. Nearby, the North Shore camp store and café are located less than a half-mile from the front gate. Several reservable campgrounds, including Oak Knoll, Deer Flat Boat In, and Acorn, are within 10 miles of the access site.
