About This Access Site
Located at 281-299 Stover Road in Charlevoix (off M-66), this popular municipal launch provides excellent access to Lake Charlevoix's South Arm and main basin. The facility features two wide concrete ramps, a courtesy dock, and ample parking for vehicles and trailers, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats. On-site amenities include restrooms and a phone, and the launch is conveniently situated near Veterans Park with easy access to downtown restaurants, fuel stations, and other services.

This is one of Lake Charlevoix's most-used access points thanks to its reliable conditions and well-maintained infrastructure. Paddlers can explore the scenic South Arm and connect to other parts of the lake's protected waters. The proximity to downtown Charlevoix and nearby attractions like Round Lake and Oyster Bay makes this a convenient base for day trips or longer outings. The spacious parking lot and two-lane ramp design accommodate moderate to heavy use without overcrowding issues.
