This middle access point on Lake Chicot provides convenient launch facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats on one of South Central Louisiana's premier freshwater destinations. Located in Evangeline Parish, this ramp is part of the Lake Chicot access system, which includes multiple launch points around the 2,000-acre lake. The cool, clear waters support excellent fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and red-ear sunfish, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers.
Lake Chicot State Park encompasses over 6,400 acres of rolling hills and water, with additional amenities including a boathouse, boat rentals, and picnic facilities. Paddlers should note that multiple ramps are available around the lake—two boat ramps are located on the south side at Chicot County Park, while Lake Chicot State Park features additional launches on the north shore. This middle access point offers a good central option for exploring the expansive lake. The park is open year-round and accommodates day-use visitors and overnight guests with camping, cabins, and lodge accommodations available.
