About This Access Site
Lake Decatur is a 2,800-acre reservoir located in Decatur, Illinois, offering excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The Faries Parkway boat ramp is a well-maintained concrete launch approximately 16 feet wide, making it suitable for a variety of watercraft. With an average depth of six feet and maximum depth of 22 feet, the lake provides safe paddling conditions for most skill levels.

This access site is ideal for anglers and recreational paddlers alike. Lake Decatur is known for abundant trophy-sized catfish and offers year-round paddling and fishing opportunities.
