About This Access Site
Lake Emily Park, located just west of Amherst Junction in Portage County, offers a convenient public boat ramp for accessing this 108-acre lake. The facility features a paved boat launch, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. With a maximum depth of 35 feet, Lake Emily provides decent water conditions for paddling and fishing.

The park includes amenities beyond the water access, including a swimming beach, picnic areas with lodges, showers, a trailer dump station, and a nature trail—making it a good option for a full day outing. The lake supports panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, trout, and walleye, so it's popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. The site is managed by the Portage County Parks Department and offers year-round access for fishing and paddling.
