About This Access Site
Lake Front Park in St. Clair Shores offers three boat ramps for accessing Lake St. Clair, a large, shallow freshwater lake ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating. The facility features multiple launch ramps with overflow parking available, though the ramps can fill quickly during peak morning hours. Note that parking is some distance from the water, so be prepared for a walk back to your vehicle after launching.

**Access Requirements & Fees:** This is not an official DNR launch site, and entry requires a daily or annual park pass. Daily passes cost $5 per vehicle with a watercraft, while annual passes range from $11–$30 depending on residency and age. Seasonal boat ramp stickers are available at the Parks & Recreation front desk. Be sure to have your pass before entering the park gates.

Lake St. Clair is a popular destination for recreational paddling and boating, offering relatively calm, protected waters. Plan your visit for early morning to secure parking during busy seasons, and allow extra time for the walk between parking and the launch area.
