The Lake Guntersville State Park boat ramp provides direct access to the Tennessee River's Guntersville Lake, a large reservoir popular with kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters. The ramp is located on the north side of the river, with easy access from Alabama Highway 35.
The ramp features a single fixed dock, though no other amenities like restrooms are present at this site. Lighting is available for launching in low-light conditions. The ramp can accommodate a high volume of boats, with ample parking space for trailers. This makes it a suitable launch point for large events and tournaments on the lake.
Guntersville Lake is a massive, slow-moving reservoir spanning over 67,000 acres. The calm waters and protected coves provide excellent paddling opportunities for kayakers and canoeists to explore the shoreline and surrounding state park lands. Powerboaters will find ample room to cruise the main channel, while also accessing shallow creek arms and bays off the main lake.
