Lake Hartwell State Park in Fair Play offers excellent access to Hartwell Lake and the Tugaloo River via a well-maintained boat ramp facility. This six-lane ramp is designed to accommodate both small recreational paddlers and larger fishing boats, making it a reliable launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the scenic Piedmont waters. The ramp provides straightforward access to one of the most popular Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation.
**Practical Information:** A valid daily or annual ParkPass is required to use the boat ramps and facilities. Private boats of all horsepower levels are permitted on Lake Hartwell. The park operates seasonally (April 1 - September 9), though the ramp itself remains open year-round. Beyond paddling, the park offers additional amenities including six miles of hiking and biking trails, a 100-foot fishing pier, lakefront campsites, and scenic overlooks.
