Lake Hattie

Lake Hattie Reservoir is a popular 1,200-acre boating and fishing destination located near Laramie, Wyoming, about 17 miles from town via Snowy Range Road and County roads. The developed access area features a boat ramp, dock, and parking area with an outhouse. Over ½ mile of shoreline access is available for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The reservoir is known for year-round fishing opportunities including rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, brown trout, and cutthroat trout, making it a mixed-use recreation area that also attracts windsurfers.

Paddlers should note that there are no additional public facilities at the site beyond the basic amenities. Dispersed camping is permitted in the area, though you'll want to be aware that both BLM and private land border the lake—please respect private property boundaries.
