Lake Isabel Park in Hastings offers a convenient public boat launch for paddlers and motorized boaters alike. The ramp accommodates boats up to 12-18 feet and features hard-surface access with parking located within 300 feet of the launch. There are no boat restrictions on Lake Isabel, so both motorized vessels and human-powered craft are welcome. The park operates from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and there are no launch fees (vehicle permits may apply if required by the park). The site includes accessible facilities designed to accommodate users with disabilities.
From this location, paddlers have easy access to Lake Isabel and are positioned near the scenic Upper Mississippi River Valley, with Mississippi River Pool 2 (between St. Paul and Hastings) and Pool 4 (between Red Wing and Winona) nearby for additional paddling opportunities. This makes Lake Isabel Park an excellent base for exploring both the calm waters of the lake and the more dynamic river environment.
