Lake Lamar Bruce

Lake Lamar Bruce is a 300-acre recreational lake located in Saltillo, Lee County, offering a well-maintained boat ramp facility with recent infrastructure improvements. The ramp area includes bathrooms with shower facilities, and the site is managed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. To access the lake, take MS-145 S for approximately 5 miles, then turn left onto Lake Lamar Bruce Road. The boat ramp is clearly marked upon arrival, with parking available near the access point.

The lake is popular with anglers targeting Largemouth Bass, Redear Sunfish, and Bluegill, and recently underwent comprehensive renovations including new levees, fish attractors, and improved piers. Paddlers and boaters should note that fishing is not permitted from the courtesy piers adjacent to the boat ramp. The facility operates on a daily and annual fee basis, with senior rates available. The area is generally quiet and suitable for various water activities, with nearby recreation opportunities including the Tupelo National Battlefield and sections of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail for land-based exploration.
