The Lake Lanier boat ramp and access site is located within the Lake Lanier Islands recreation area in Hall County, Georgia. This access point provides direct entry to the Chattahoochee River where it flows into the expansive Lake Lanier reservoir.
Lake Lanier is one of America's most popular lakes, drawing over 7.5 million visitors per year. Surrounded by the foothills of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains, the lake offers ample opportunities for paddling, boating, and other water sports. The Lake Lanier Islands recreation area features multiple boat ramps and swimming areas along the shoreline.
For paddlers and small boaters, the Lake Lanier Islands access site provides a convenient put-in to explore the calmer waters of the Chattahoochee River and the vast expanse of the lake. Kayakers, canoeists, and small powerboats will find this a suitable launch point to access the scenic natural surroundings.
