About This Access Site
Lake Livingston State Park offers a concrete boat ramp providing year-round access to Lake Livingston, a large reservoir on the Trinity River in Polk County. The ramp is approximately 25 feet wide, giving ample space for launching and retrieving kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels. The facility is conveniently located near the resort area—turn right at the resort sign when accessing the park from Texas 19 north.

This access point is ideal for paddlers looking to explore the expansive waters of Lake Livingston. The park area also features amenities including picnic facilities and restrooms. If you're planning an extended visit with an RV, the Piney Shores loop within the park offers full-hookup campsites with lake views. Additional free public boat ramps managed by the Trinity River Authority are located around the lake at Tigerville Park, Blanchard, Patrick's Ferry, Whiterock, and Point Blank, offering alternative access options depending on your paddling destination.
