Lake Mallalieu

**Location & Access:**
Lake Mallalieu's public boat ramp is located at Corky's Pier, just south of the Mallalieu Bridge on Second Street along the east shoreline in Hudson, St. Croix County. This is a straightforward public access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to launch on the lake. Be aware that parking is limited at this location, so arrive early during peak use times.

**Lake Conditions & Recreation:**
Lake Mallalieu is a 289-acre inland lake with a maximum depth of 17 feet and notably low water clarity. The lake does not connect to the St. Croix River, making it ideal for contained paddling without river currents. It's a popular fishing destination with populations of panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and northern pike. The nearby St. Croix Wetland Management District offers additional wildlife viewing opportunities in the region.
