Lake Manatee State Park offers a convenient double-access boat ramp facility for paddlers and boaters seeking easy entry to this 1,180-acre freshwater reservoir located east of Bradenton in Manatee County. The ramp is one of only two public access points to Lake Manatee and includes floating fishing docks nearby. A $4 boat ramp fee applies in addition to park entrance fees.
Important restrictions to note: all motorized boats are limited to engines of less than 20 horsepower, making this an ideal destination for kayakers, canoeists, and smaller recreational boats seeking a quieter paddling experience. Overnight mooring is not permitted. The calm waters of this public reservoir provide excellent opportunities for paddling and fishing, with the surrounding park featuring pine flatwoods, sand pine scrub, and marsh habitats typical of central Florida's natural landscape.
