About This Access Site
Lake Mariana is a 514-acre freshwater lake located in Auburndale, Florida (Polk County), accessible via Kenwood Grove Lane off Old Lake Alfred Road. This public boat ramp provides access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore a productive fishing destination within the Peace River–Peace Creek Canal Watershed.

The lake is well-established for recreational fishing, with anglers regularly catching largemouth bass, bluegill, and spotted gar. As a relatively large, calm water body, it's suitable for paddlers of various skill levels and offers good opportunities for both fishing and recreational paddling. The lake connects to the broader chain of lakes in the region through a self-operated lock system (operating 7 a.m.–9 p.m. daily), which allows access to additional waters including Lake Hartridge and Lake Conine for those interested in exploring further.

For current information about ramp conditions, hours of operation, or to report any issues, contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at BoatRamps@MyFWC.com.
