About This Access Site
Echo Bay offers boat ramp access to the northern end of Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States by water capacity. The ramp is 22 feet wide with two launch lanes, providing a dedicated facility for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The area is located near the scenic Valley of Fire State Park and historic ruins, making it a good base for both water recreation and exploring the surrounding desert landscape.

Echo Bay RV Park serves as the primary facility at this access point, with large RV sites available for visitors bringing their own vessels. The park is situated in a secluded area along the north arm of the lake, offering a quieter alternative to more developed access points. Paddlers should note that this is a remote location accessed via NV 164 from Searchlight, so plan accordingly with fuel and supplies. If this ramp becomes unavailable, alternative Lake Mead access points include Hemenway Harbor and other designated facilities around the reservoir.
