Lake Mead - Hemenway Harbor

Hemenway Harbor offers boat launch access to Lake Mead on the Colorado River near Boulder City, Nevada. The site features a boat ramp that the National Park Service is extending to approximately 1,000 feet to maintain reliable access as water levels fluctuate. A marina concessionaire at the harbor offers boat rentals for those without their own watercraft. To reach the site from Boulder City, take U.S. Highway 93 south to Lakeshore Road, then turn left; the access point is about a quarter-mile ahead.

Before launching, paddlers and boaters should stop by the nearby Lake Mead Visitor Center (located on Lakeshore Road) for maps, trip planning assistance, and current conditions information. Nearby camping is available at Las Vegas Bay Campground within 10 miles.
