Lake Miltona (Northwest)

The Northwest access point on Lake Miltona provides a convenient boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats in Douglas County, Minnesota. This public access site is ideal for exploring a large, well-developed lake with no launch fees. Most ramps can accommodate 12-18 foot boats, though larger vessels may be possible at some locations. Parking and basic amenities are available at the site.

Lake Miltona supports a variety of fish species including walleye, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, and bluegill, making it a popular destination for anglers. The area offers additional conveniences nearby, including fuel, bait shops, and fish cleaning facilities in the towns of Carlos and Miltona. As a large lake, be aware that wind conditions can be significant—the lake requires all boats to be stored on lifts or trailers when not in use to protect against weather damage.
