About This Access Site
Lake Morton is a 66-acre lake located on the northwest shore in Kent, King County, Washington, offering public boat access via a WDFW (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) maintained ramp. The site includes parking, a boat launch, and restroom facilities, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The lake's calm waters make it suitable for paddlers of all skill levels.

This scenic lake is well-suited for fishing enthusiasts, stocked annually with rainbow trout (averaging around 0.5 lbs) and home to resident largemouth bass. While the lake is mostly surrounded by residential areas, the northwest access provides good shoreline fishing opportunities. Nearby recreation includes Mud Mountain Dam on the White River, adding to the area's outdoor appeal. The best fishing conditions for largemouth bass occur April through September, with excellent rainbow trout activity in May and October.
