**Overview & Water Conditions**
The boat ramp at Lake Natchez State Park provides access to Whitens Creek, a medium-sized headwater stream in Adams County, Mississippi. Whitens Creek is a relatively short waterway (6 miles total length) with a moderate gradient of 32.5 ft/mile and modest average flow of about 12 cubic feet per second. The stream drops approximately 195 feet in elevation, making it suitable for paddlers seeking moving water, though conditions will vary seasonally.
**Amenities & Regulations**
The park features a public boat launch with rental equipment available on a first-come, first-served basis, including johnboats, life jackets, and paddles. Lake Use Permits are required and can be purchased at the Park Store, Visitor Center, or by calling 731-968-3742 or 731-968-8176. Note that fishing is prohibited from the courtesy piers near the boat ramp. The main lake is 230 acres, while nearby Browns Lake (167 acres) and Maples Lake (90 acres) each have their own single boat ramps with rentals and permits available on-site.
