About This Access Site
Lake Pawhuska is a scenic 103-acre reservoir located 2 miles south of US 60 in Pawhuska, Osage County, with over 3 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 44 feet. The main boat ramp and access facilities are situated on the west side of the lake, accessible by driving across the dam. This makes it an excellent spot for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters of all skill levels seeking a calm, protected paddling environment.

The access site offers well-maintained facilities managed by the City of Pawhuska, including a dedicated boat ramp, fishing dock, ample parking, and restrooms—all fully handicap-accessible. The lake's protected waters and fishing opportunities make it popular for families and anglers. Primitive camping is available on-site without fees or reservations, making it convenient for paddlers planning a full day or overnight outing. Bait and tackle shops are available in nearby Bartlesville for those needing supplies.
