The Lake Perris State Recreation Area offers a convenient boat ramp access point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters on Lake Perris. The ramp is located just south of the campground, with nearby parking for cars with trailers. There are 6 boarding floats and 10 carry-down walkways to assist with launching non-motorized vessels.
Lake Perris is a large reservoir with ample room for paddling and powerboating. Motorized vessels up to 35 feet in length are permitted, and the lake allows activities like jet skiing. Visitors should be aware that the California Department of Water Resources regularly monitors the lake for harmful algal blooms, so it's important to check their website for current conditions before heading out.
The recreation area is easily accessible, located just off the I-215 highway. Boaters and paddlers can enter from either the Moreno Valley Entrance or the Perris Entrance. With its convenient boat ramp, ample water space, and proximity to major transportation, Lake Perris offers an excellent launching point for a variety of water sports and recreation.
