About This Access Site
The Placid View Drive boat ramp is one of two public launch points on Lake Placid, located on the west side of this scenic Florida lake off Route 86 in the village of Lake Placid. The facility features a hard surface ramp suitable for float-off and float-on launching of trailered boats, with approximately 20 parking spaces available for vehicles and trailers.

This access point is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters looking to explore Lake Placid's expansive waters. The lake offers plenty of room for paddling and touring with attractive views throughout. Note that shore access is limited in the area, so plan your activities primarily from the water. If you need an alternative access point, a second public ramp is available at 150 Harris Drive on the lake's northeast side.
