About This Access Site
Lake Rabon Park offers a convenient public boat ramp for accessing South Rabon Creek and Lake Rabon, a 546-acre impoundment in western Laurens County. The park is located on State Highway 252, approximately 5 miles south of Hickory Tavern. All boats, canoes, and kayaks require a Lake Rabon boat permit before launching. The facility features a handicap-accessible boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic shelters, and trails, making it suitable for paddlers of varying abilities.

The lake itself has a maximum depth of 27 feet with a mean depth of 13 feet, providing good water conditions for recreational paddling. Lake Rabon Park is open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week, and is managed by the Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission. Note that pets are permitted in the area around the boat ramp but must be kept on a leash at a times. The park's amenities and accessibility make it an excellent choice for family outings and recreational boating.
