The Sanger unit of Lake Ray Roberts State Park features a two-lane boat ramp with a boarding pier and parking for up to 75 vehicles, making it a well-equipped access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. Located at the full-service Lake Ray Roberts Marina, this facility offers the most amenities of the park's six satellite units along the 29,350-acre lake. To reach the ramp from I-35 north of Sanger, take the FM 3002 exit and travel 7 miles east, looking for signage on the south side of the road.
Paddlers will find Lake Ray Roberts to be a large, scenic recreational destination just minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The lake offers plenty of space for exploring, with access to the Elm Fork Trinity River system. The Sanger unit's marina facilities, combined with nearby amenities like swimming beaches and hiking trails, make it a convenient base for day trips or longer paddling adventures.
