About This Access Site
Lake Rescue is a 189-acre lake in Ludlow, Vermont, offering public boat access via a launch facility managed by the Lake Rescue Marina. The access point is located north of Red Bridge and accommodates a variety of watercraft. **Important note: Power boats are permitted on Lake Rescue, but jet skis are not allowed.** Kayakers and canoeists will find this a suitable destination, and the marina offers rentals and amenities including a public dock and floating dock for easier water access.

The lake supports a healthy fishery with species including bass, perperch, lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, pickerel, and sunfish. Parking is available along Red Bridge Road between Lake Shore Drive and East Lake Road. Paddlers should be aware that Lake Pauline (Reservoir Pond), located south of Red Bridge across a dam, is restricted to non-motorized craft only with no public boat access. The surrounding area offers additional recreation opportunities, including the nearby Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and North Springfield Lake for those planning a broader outdoor visit to Windsor County.
