Located just outside Riverdale off Highway 200 in McLean County, this popular day-use boat ramp provides convenient access to Lake Sakakawea, one of North Dakota's largest reservoirs. The park features two boat ramps: a multi-lane ramp on the west side and a single-lane ramp on the southeast side, both with courtesy docks available. Additional amenities include bathroom facilities and a fish cleaning station, making this a well-developed access point for boaters and anglers.
Lake Sakakawea stretches 178 miles with 1,340 miles of scenic shoreline, offering excellent paddling and boating opportunities across a large impoundment on the Missouri River. The area is ideal for day trips or extended outings, with three nearby reservable campgrounds (East Totten Trail, Wolf Creek, and Downstream) within 10 miles for those planning overnight stays. The Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site nearby adds cultural interest to a visit to this region.
