Lake St. Clair Metro Park in St. Clair Shores offers convenient access to Lake St. Clair with eight boat ramps located near the North Marina along Black Creek. This is a well-developed facility suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters of all experience levels. The park also features dedicated Daysail launches near the golf course for personal watercraft, windsurfers, and sailboards.
**Access Requirements:** A valid Metroparks daily or annual boat pass is required to enter the park. Additionally, Michigan Recreation Passport holders will need their current pass ($12 with vehicle registration renewal, or $17 on-site). This is not an official DNR launch site, so be sure to have your parking and boat passes before entering the gates.
**What to Expect:** With eight launching positions and good parking availability, this is a more accessible alternative to the busier Clinton River Cutoff area. The facility is suitable for a range of paddle sports and provides a solid entry point to Lake St. Clair for day trips and exploration. Check current conditions and water levels before launching, as Lake St. Clair can experience variable conditions depending on weather and season.
