About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides access to Lake Texoma, one of the largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoirs and the 12th largest in the United States. The ramp is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and all types of motorized vessels. Lake Texoma is a popular destination offering excellent conditions for a variety of water activities, from paddling to sailing and power boating.

The Red River, which feeds Lake Texoma, is a major river system (Stream Order 9) with significant flow averaging over 68,000 cubic feet per second. With an average gradient of 1.6 feet per mile and substantial water volume, paddlers should be prepared for a large, powerful waterway. The reservoir itself offers calmer conditions compared to the free-flowing river sections, making it accessible for various skill levels during normal water conditions.

For current information on ramp facilities, amenities, hours of operation, and fees, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or visit the Lake Texoma official recreation website. This is a well-developed recreation area with multiple access points, so consider checking interactive launch maps and recent reports to find the most convenient ramp for your needs.
