The ramp is situated in the main camping and boating section of the park, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats.
**Important for paddlers:** Lake Wanahoo is designated as a no-wake lake, making it an excellent choice for kayakers and canoeists seeking calm water conditions. The recreation area offers full amenities on the west side including camping facilities, which makes it suitable for multi-day paddling trips or day outings. The east side features additional day-use areas, providing parking and picnic facilities if you prefer a quieter launch location.
