About This Access Site
The Lake Wichita boat ramp, located at Lake Wichita Park in Wichita Falls, provides public access to both the lake and Holliday Creek. This is a solid launch point for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the scenic paddling route that follows Lake Wichita's north shoreline, crosses the dam, and continues into Holliday Creek all the way to Williams Park. The access area includes vehicle parking and is conveniently located near major highways (I-44, US-287, US-281, and TX-240).

From this launch, paddlers can take advantage of the expansive Holliday Creek Trail system, which offers approximately 28.76 miles of round-trip paddling when combined with the Wichita River Section. The route is suitable for small to medium-sized boats and various paddle craft. Camping is available nearby at Lake Arrowhead State Park for those planning extended trips. This access point works well as a starting point for day paddles or longer expeditions along the interconnected water trails in the area.
