About This Access Site
Located in Maurice K. Goddard State Park near New Vernon in Mercer County, this boat ramp provides excellent access to Lake Wilhelm and Sandy Creek. The facility features a four-lane launching ramp, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. Parking includes 250 standard spaces and 121 dedicated car/trailer spaces, with amenities including a marina building and fueling station on-site.

The ramp operates seasonally, with mooring available from May 1 through October 31. In addition to the marina's 200 slips, a 48-space dry land mooring area serves paddlers and boaters throughout the season. For those exploring Sandy Creek's southern tributaries, the ramp serves as a gateway to multiple water access points; head west on PA 358 and follow Lake Wilhelm Road and Creek Road to reach additional parking areas at 2.0, 4.2, and 5.4 miles for alternative launch points.

This is an ideal location for both day trips and extended paddling excursions on Lake Wilhelm's calm waters. The combination of ample parking, launch infrastructure, and nearby access options makes it a well-developed site for recreational boating and paddling.
