Lake Winneconne Park offers a convenient two-lane concrete boat ramp with docking facilities and paved parking, located in the southeast section of the lake off North Third Avenue in Winneconne. The 28-acre park is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters of all experience levels, with an island-protected channel that allows overnight mooring. The park also provides family-friendly amenities and welcomes pets, making it a good basecamp for exploring the water.
Lake Winneconne itself is a 4,553-acre lake with a maximum depth of approximately 9-15 feet, making it relatively shallow and accessible for recreational paddling. The lake supports diverse fish species including walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, largemouth and smallmouth bass, panfish, and sturgeon, so anglers will find plenty of opportunities. In addition to fishing and paddling, the area offers nearby amenities at other parks such as Marble Park, which features picnic areas and a swimming beach.
Note that some users have reported that ramp maintenance may be needed at times, so it's worth checking conditions before your visit.
